You Never Existed

A boundary defying stage play written by Sheldon Skoboloff, You Never Existed is a farcical allegory about Operation Condor, written in verse and prose and set in South Florida. The story follows a Latin American family in South Florida, disrupted by their grandmother’s guest— a young American man from North Florida whom she met at a Marshalls. Quickly, he colonizes their home and installs a puppet president in his place. You Never Existed shines light on the 400,000 people still “disappeared” after Operation Condor was carried out, and asks audiences to question their complicity in their governments foreign affairs.

Sheldon served as the Playwright, Co-Director, Co-Producer, and Dramaturg for this project.
